Wellington Makamure is the CEO – Sub-Saharan Africa (excl. SA). Wellington joined Liquid Intelligent Technologies in February 2009.
He has over 40 years working experience in hi-tech global companies. He has more than 30 years in senior management of which more than 15 years are as a CEO in the Telecommunications sector.
He was CEO of Liquid Zimbabwe from 2010 and then Regional CEO of the Central Africa from 2018. He has directed and led the establishing of Liquid as the Central African tech industry leader.
Wellington has served on several industry diverse Boards and currently sits on the boards of Liquid Zambia, Liquid Botswana, Liquid DRC and Liquid Zimbabwe. He has been heavily involved in the strategic planning, operations and development of the Liquid Intelligent Technologies network and business in the region.
He holds a Master’s in Business Administration. He is an Engineer by profession and has held senior positions in Marketing, Sales and Business development. He has extensive experience in telecommunications and electronics industries in the UK and Africa since the early 1980s.
